Gojushiho Sho

Gojushiho Sho is a transformation of Gojushiho Dai and classed as a "free kata" and may be chosen as a grading kata by Nidan and above. One of the main references for this kata is Nakayama Sensei "Best Karate" Volume 11. Nakayama states " Sho's weapon is the sword hand, employed in blocks and thrusts to repulse attacks a high level of technical skill is required to perform this kata effectively". For this reason it is commonly selected by Karateka in competition.
